Months before this site went live, I sat down and began to think, brainstorm, dream, and formulate a plan for what I wanted IHeartTravel to stand for.
resides in front of the gorgeous Lago de Atitlán, and it’s three volcanoes Volcán Atitlán, Volcán San Pedro, and Volcán Tolimán. I remember vividly encountering this place as a teenager. Buses would drive down these narrow roads with ease around sharp curves, traversing down from Solola to pana.
_ THE LANGUAGE BARRIER
Being the son of Guatemalan immigrants, I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I know I should do more on my behalf, but Avi’s primary language is English. She understands Spanish but can only communicate at the moment in English.
_ <3<3 The quality of the pictures are not the best, due to an accidental dropping of my new camera the second day in Guatemala, regardless what was captured (by camera phone) is still pretty amazing!...enjoy<3<3
What you see when you visit this site is a culmination of years for my passion of travel.
No one single country I have visited can attribute more to this passion, then Guatemala.
It was Guatemala where I first truly experienced life outside the U.S, and truly realized how much I love seeing other cultures and locations.
For this reason I made it a priority to re visit the country that started all of this, and show my daughter the country I fell in love with at the age of 18!
_At the old blogger site was a real feel of progression. It was there that all of this started, and really transformed to what you see today.
With that being said there is material from the old blog that I would also like to share here on the new site.
