The Motorcycle Diaries
A film focusing on the adventure of Ernesto Guevara and Alberto Granado, this is one film that has influenced me tremendously. I relate to these two characters because they share my lust for adventure and travel, while also being compelled to help their fellow man.

A film also directed by Walter Salles this film continues his infatuation with travelers. . Here we are introduced to some pretty wild characters, characters who take life by the horns and ride it for all it has to offer. A film about free spirits and the freedom of youth it also give us insight on how the journey's in life can have lasting impact.
Favorite Quote : "The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like roman candles across the night.”
Every once in a while you come across something you hadn't quite expected, Life of Pi was this occurrence for me. I went into this film expecting more a less a family film, what I got was a deep spiritual journey that explores life itself. I could have never imagined this film having such a lasting impact but it has quickly become one of the best films I have seen in quite some time. I liken it to the film version of 'The Alchemist' and that's a pretty strong comparison...watch it you won't be disappointed.

What happens when you lose someone close to you, someone you never truly fully understood? I guess in someways you try to retrace their steps to get a better understanding for the life they lived. This is a good old fashioned film about a father and son trying to reconnect. The film explores the different paths we take in this life and how those paths can influence what we do in this world.

Now I'm not all serious and deep all the time, sometime you need a good laugh (insert Hangover film). The first in the series was an instant classic and the second in the series is no different. This time the group end up hungover in Thailand and the adventure they have is nothing short of hilariousness. The scenery is beautiful and the story unfolds just as outlandish as its predecessor.

A film of adventure, life, escape, and much more. The film explores one man's inability to coexist in the society he so greatly wanted to escape, so rather than live in misery, he chooses to mark out his own path, and go into the wild.
Favorite Quote : "The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences."
What's this list with out a romantic film to round it out. Like crazy a tale of a young lovers from different countries who pursue their love over the obstacles that could hinder it. It's a very real look at how life can play out. The highs and lows that occurs in all of our lives.
