From the day we're born we begin our adventure. At the same time we also begin a life path to our ultimate demise.
We have no control over this fate it's just the natural order of things.
As infants everything is new, fresh, weird, and scary.
As we get older we begin to make sense of the world that once seemed to make no sense at all. We are taught, we learn, we discover.....we are curious.
This curiosity helps us discover, our discoveries lead to learning.
We continue down the path, digesting the world in how it's presented to us. We get older each year. Each year brings new moments, new experiences, new wisdom.
Always continuing upwards on the path to becoming an adult
As we keep going up ultimately we reach the plateau point (adulthood), we have learned what we have learned, and then begins the descent to our fate.
When we're young we look at those descending, you seem to think that will never be you. You are indestructible, you are healthy, you know it all.....until you don't, and then you find yourself on the downward side.
How could we be going down all of a sudden?
Life was grand, we had no worries, everything was going fine. Now life is mundane, day in and day out the same routine...no excitement.
Is this really how I'm going to spend the last years of my life?
This escalator is our life. One side going up, one side always going down. We conform, we get comfortable, we become stagnant As our life steadily declines we think about missed opportunities, dreams not realized, accomplishments never achieved
We reflect...reflect...reflect & then accept.
The ride ends and our life comes to a close.
This "Escalator" scenario holds true in the sense that we're all destined to our demise no one can stop that. For that reason one must stay on the 'upward' side of things for the duration of your life.
Feed the side that was curious, that wanted to learn, that wanted to discover.
like the escalator either side has a starting point & ending point. So this ride will start and stop either way you look at it.
Do not accept the downward ride to our last days with regret.
Live it up, keep moving upward. Enjoy the ride for all it can offer.
continue trying to reach the unreachable, and when its time to depart look back and be content. Content that you lived a life on your terms.
Continue Upwards !
