A car's presence for some is as intertwined with self as the limbs on our body, we use it daily and for most of us they're just there, nothing more....
I see faces of happiness, faces of boredom, faces of frustration. A traffic jam has them going no where fast.
I think about the adventure about to unfold in my own life, and how my vehicle and I are about to have quite the experience traversing the country.
Then I think about the mundane acts of our life, a life spent in our vehicles getting from point to point, job to house, house to job, house to school, school to house, etc etc. Vehicles have changed the way we are able to transport from one place to another. Yet we only use our vehicles for a small amount of their capability.
We fail to realize our cars much like our life are withering away -- one hour -- day -- week -- year at a time.
I've committed my life to that of meaningful experiences. As I look out this barbershop window and also see a life where I once lived in the same fashion.....mundane acts of living.
I choose now to dispose of those tired shades on life, and rock a new pair.
These new shades, conduct my vehicle(life) with a new perspective.
I look at my car and mirror myself onto it.
We don't know what's ahead but we believe ourselves ready, and so we -- GO!
I leave the mundane behind so that I may experience,
life on the road.
