Upon my arrival back from Guatemala this past January I felt compelled to provide more help to the orginization I had made contact with. Today I share a partnership and the person who worked with me to help achieve that goal.
Guatemala kicked off what will be a life long mission of mine, the mission to help. I chose an organization named Ninos Del Lago. A wonderful organization helping out children in need. I made contact with them while on my trip, but returned home with a desire to help out in a more substantial manner.

When I got back from my trip I went back into my current life routine... school, dad(papi), blog. All the blogs I follow never come short on supplying me with great stuff. Somewhere in my routine I came across a wonderful person named Robyn.

Robyn had left an intriguing comment on The Art of Non Conformity blog (which is a favorite of mine!), so I followed the comment link to her site. It was on this click I was introduced to the marvelous world of 'She Makes Hats'.

She Makes Hats is run by Robyn a woman on a mission to knit 10,000 hats for family, friends, and charities. She had picked up knitting from a friend and  as stated on her site: "She handed me some yarn and needles, and I got busy ... and never looked back!"

Her initial goal had her knitting 100 hats for charities, once she completed that mission, she felt compelled to broaden the goal, and take on a life mission to knit 10,000 hats!

This passion of hers connected with me, and I reached out to her. I sent her an email with my praise & admiration for what she was doing. Robyn responded back  with such enthusiasm and also praise for what I was doing, she also threw out the idea of a partnership. When I read this I was so excited of the possibility to work with someone so amazing!

She single handedly nailed down an idea that would incorporate her amazing talent of knitting hats & the love of travel, she came up with the 'Travel Hat'. This hat would be inspired by IHeartTravel and lovers of travel worldwide....let's just say I was in awe of her awesomeness!!

We decided that this hat would help out a charity of both of our choosing. I had mentioned Ninos Del Lago and my recent contact with them,  Robyn was all for choosing them.

This partnership would have Robyn selling the Travel Hat and with each purchase proceeds would be forwarded to Ninos Del Lago!!

Robyn got to work on a prototype of the Travel Hat & I got in contact with Ninos Del Lago. About a week later I was given a glimpse of the Travel Hat and loved it! I had to keep my enthusiasm a secret for the last month or so, so we could get everything worked out and in order before presenting it to the world.

I was beyond ecstatic to partner up  with someone with such talent , and a person who shares the vision of helping others, so today we unveil the.....

I absolutely love this thing, when I first envisioned a possible travel hat I had numerous ideas of what it would look like. When I received this in my inbox it was everything I could have only imagined made into the physical!

The Travel Hat is a labor of two loves joining forces for the greater good. I ask all my followers, anyone passing by, those who like helping, generally anyone I can reach with this blog to help Robyn & I make the Travel Hat a success.
